0.3. App Installation & Push Notifications (PWA) Guide

TFlow can be installed like an app directly from your web browser, without a separate app store download. After installation, you can quickly access it via a desktop/home-screen icon and receive push notifications even when the browser is closed.

1. How to Install the App

Chrome (Desktop / Android)

  1. Go to the TFlow website and log in.
  2. Click the Install icon that appears on the right of the address bar, or the "Install app" banner shown on screen.
  3. Click Install in the "Do you want to install?" popup.
  4. A TFlow Trade Assistant icon is added to your desktop (desktop) or home screen (mobile).

Safari (iPhone / iPad)

  1. Go to the TFlow website in Safari and log in.
  2. Tap the Share button (□↑) at the bottom.
  3. Select "Add to Home Screen".
  4. Confirm the name and tap Add.
  5. The TFlow icon is added to your home screen.

Edge (Desktop)

  1. Go to the TFlow website.
  2. Click the Install app icon on the right of the address bar.
  3. After confirming "Install," the app is added to your desktop.

2. Using It as an App

Unlike a regular web browser, the installed app has the following advantages.

  • Standalone window: It opens as a TFlow-only screen without the browser's address bar, tabs, or bookmark bar.
  • Quick access: Clicking the desktop/home-screen icon launches TFlow directly.
  • Shortcuts: Long-pressing the app icon (mobile) or right-clicking it (desktop) lets you jump directly to frequently used screens such as Projects and Chat.

3. Push Notification Settings

Once you install the app, you can receive push notifications. Push notifications deliver important updates as desktop/mobile notifications even without opening TFlow.

Allowing Notifications

  • When you first access TFlow or after installing the app, the browser shows a "Do you want to allow notifications?" popup.
  • Click Allow to enable push notifications.

Notification Types and Behavior

You can receive the following notifications.

  • Project status changes
  • New document uploads
  • Comment mentions (@)
  • New email received
  • Escrow payment status changes

Notifications are shown differently depending on the situation.

  • When the app/browser is open: Notifications are shown as an in-screen badge.
  • When the app/browser is closed: The push message arrives as an OS notification.
  • Clicking a notification: Takes you directly to that item's detail screen.

💡 Troubleshooting (FAQ)

  • Q: "The install button is not showing."
    • Error code / symptom: PWA_INSTALL_PROMPT_NOT_SHOWN
    • A: Either the app is already installed, or your browser does not support PWA installation. Please use an up-to-date browser such as Chrome, Edge, or Samsung Internet. On iPhone, Add to Home Screen is only possible in Safari.
  • Q: "Push notifications are not arriving."
    • Error code / symptom: PUSH_NOTIFICATION_BLOCKED
    • A: TFlow's notification permission may be blocked in your browser or OS.
      • Chrome: Lock icon on the left of the address bar > Site settings > Notifications → Allow
      • Android: Settings > Apps > TFlow > Notifications → Allow
      • macOS: System Settings > Notifications > Chrome/Edge → Allow
      • Windows: Settings > System > Notifications > Chrome/Edge → On
  • Q: "I want to uninstall the app."
    • Error code / symptom: PWA_UNINSTALL
    • A: On desktop, select the app window's menu (⋮) > "Remove TFlow Trade Assistant." On mobile, long-press the icon on the home screen to delete it.
