Video Studio — Turn Card Series into Video

The Video menu on the left rail (/video). Lay the cards you made in Card Series on a timeline, adjust order and length, and render an mp4. AI can also write a narration script and voice it, automatically fitting each scene's length to the spoken line.

💡 Who is this for? Anyone who wants to reuse card series as Reels/Shorts video. No editing software — pick a deck and hit Make video.

1. Pick a Source

Start with one of the three buttons at the top left.

Importing PPT·PDF

Upload a PPT (.pptx) or PDF (up to 15MB) and each page becomes an image scene with its original design intact — finished materials with shapes, charts, and photos (IR decks, product catalogs…) go straight to video. Page text and speaker notes feed the narration script; pages without text stay silent. After conversion everything works like card series — timeline, narration, templates.

💡 Font tip — PPT fonts missing on the server get substituted with similar ones. For exact fonts, export the PPT as PDF and upload that (PDFs embed their fonts).

ℹ️ The same conversion is available from the Create dialog → Card series from PPT·PDF, which lands in the editor so you can polish the cards first.

2. Timeline — Order and Length

Once cards are in, the timeline appears under the preview.

• Reorder — drag clips
• Length — select a clip and use − / + (0.5s steps)
• Split — cut one clip in two (narrated cards can't be split — the voice would land on the first piece only) · Remove — take it off the timeline (the card itself is untouched)
• Undo — step back through split/remove/length/order changes (Cmd/Ctrl+Z)
• ▶ Play — preview as an image sequence before rendering (with sound if narration is on)

You can also drive it from Pictor Chat. Open it with the speech-bubble button at the bottom right and just say what you want. e.g. "make it 15 seconds", "drop clip 3 and switch to reels" — each change is listed in the conversation, and rendering only starts after you confirm the plan card (clip count, total length, spec, template) with Make it. The separate chat box on the video screen is gone (2026-08-23) — it is the same conversation as card editing and image generation. An image you generate in chat becomes a clip via Add to timeline.

3. Template · Output Size

• Template — As designed (image as-is + Ken Burns) / Motion text / Pop headline / Minimal fade (motion templates animate text per element). With cards loaded, hover a template button to preview the motion with your own cards.
• Output size — 1:1 Feed / 9:16 Reels / 16:9 Wide. Defaults to the deck's (or PPT slides') ratio; a mismatch shows a crop warning for the "As designed" template.

4. Narration — AI Script + Voice

Pick a card series deck and the Narration section appears on the left.

1. Auto-write script — AI reads the whole deck at once and writes 1–2 sentences per card. It complements the on-screen text instead of reading it, opening on the first card and closing on the last. Decks converted from PPT also feed speaker notes into the script. (Imported image clips aren't auto-scripted — type their lines yourself.)
2. Choose a voice — Korean/English, male/female presets. The default follows the deck's language. A delivery dropdown sets the speaking style (calm news-anchor / bright and cheerful / warm and friendly / high-energy / slow and articulate). Pick "Custom…" at the end to type your own — full sentences work too, like "drowsy, like someone who just woke up" (any language; the system handles it).
3. Edit per card — select a card in the timeline to see its line. Edit and hit Apply (generate voice) — only that card's audio is regenerated. Listen to check, Clear to mute that card.
4. Re-voice all — keep every line, regenerate all audio with the currently selected voice — use after switching voices.

4-1. Scene length and limits

ℹ️ The voice decides the scene length. Applying narration sets that clip to "0.4s lead-in + spoken length + 0.6s tail" automatically. The − button won't shrink a clip below its spoken length, so lines never get cut off. Cards without narration keep the template's default length.

⚠️ Imported image clips can't carry narration (cards only). Turn the "Include narration" switch off to render silent.

5. Make the Video

Hit Make video and rendering starts with a progress bar (tens of seconds to a few minutes depending on card count). When done, it plays in the player; use Download / new tab to save or Edit again to return to the timeline. Results are kept in the Library (Video filter) and the My videos list at the bottom left.

6. AI Motion Clip

Turns a single image into a short clip (~5s) with a living, moving background. Press AI motion clip among the source buttons and the work area switches.

1. Upload an image or pick one from Library.
2. Optionally describe the motion. e.g. slow camera zoom-in, steam rising
3. Make video — takes about 3 minutes.

⚠️ Only AI motion clips consume tokens (external cloud engine). Card-news-to-video rendering is token-free, once per day (relaxed with a subscription).

7. FAQ

Q. I don't see the Video menu. A. Video Studio only appears in environments where the feature flag is enabled. Ask your administrator.

Q. I don't like the narration voice. A. Pick another voice from the dropdown and hit Re-voice all. Your lines are kept.

Q. It says I've used today's generation limit. A. Card-news-to-video rendering is free once per day. Try again tomorrow or subscribe.

Q. What happens to my edited lines if I auto-write the script again? A. Auto-write script rewrites the whole script and overwrites every line. To fix just one card, select it, edit the line, and hit Apply.
